Hi Johann,
could you post this interesting photo on the Altervista forum, please? I think it's better to continue that one, it gives more guarantees of continuity.

Hi All (responsible),

Decide, please, which forum will be public and running - this one or that one at Altervista. I just accidentally checked up whether this forum is running (only 7 visitors at Altervista at this moment) and voala! here is 19 visitors at this moment.
It is not good to run two same forums at two different urls. Where we should continue posting?
Thank you.

What indeed is happening? I just received a notice from a thread I had subscribed to, and was able to access it without any problem. So is the site up and running again here (it seems so) and for how long? If it is up, we need to spread the news on other sites, such as Britmodeller, that this site is once again active.

Best Regards,

And yet, the more I look at the photo, the more I tend to the orange color of the nose and coca. Here are photos from a different angle, you can compare the inscription on the first car and nose on the second.

I don't think that markings useful to propaganda were censored. Eventually, it could be that the original photo was so bad that it required restoration, and the mark, maybe not recognized, was lost in this process.
About the Wildcats: nice photos indeed.

I think that it should be clearly visible on this photo.

Not likely if comrade Chief Propaganda Editor had anything to do with it  Grin
Numbers and badges were frequently deleted before mass publication of photos (please see an US example below).

Original photo:

IMHO, the quality of the photo You have enclosed is just to poor to be taken as a reliable reference.

Hey, what is happening here?
The domain has expired, then reappeared again, disappeared and reappeared...
Let's see how it goes.
Anyway, in case of definitive expiring, I can update the clones. Have all you bookmarked them?

P.S. for Troy Smith: I've received your mail and tried to answer twice, but I've received a warning of non-delivered mail.
Something wrong in some mail service, it seems.

I agree, they look the original Soviet camo. The light color has more or less the usual pattern and covers about 1/3 of the upper surface of the plane.
Other photos of Yugoslavian and Soviet Pe-2s of late 1944 and 1945 show wide light repainting of difficult interpretation, but this is not the case of the planes in your photos.

Good day
Can somebody point the right colours:

My opinion would be AMT-1/4/12.
